Q: Where does the money for Shark Cards come from?
A: Mostly from the crew leader. He has a job in real life where he is given tons and tons of gift card which he trades in to be able to purchase shark cards for the crew. Other times it comes from the Crew Commissioners and/or merch sales.
Q: Why doesn't the crew leader just use his gift cards instead of giving it to the crew?
A: (Crew Leaders Reply) The amount and type of work I do allows me to create whatever time for myself i want. I dont have the typical 9-5 job and a lot of the people i work with tend to give me something a little extra after paying me for the job. The little extra’s are usually gift cards to various places. I love the idea of a digital community and it just so happens that I like playing GTA. This is my way of bringing other people who like playing GTA together.
Q: What happens when the crew doesn't have enough money to cover a Snapmatic Prize?
A: If it ever gets to the point where we won't have enough real money to cover Shark Card costs, you’ll be the first to know. But even then, we have other ways of getting the prize rewarded to you. But we can pretty much guarantee that we’re set for the next 10-15 years.
Q: Do I have to use the SNAP crew tag all the time?
A: Only if you want to join the monthly Snapmatic contest. But aside from that, you are welcome to use any crew tag you like.
Q: How do I rank up in the crew?
A: Loyalty and how active you are. We don’t require members to always rock our SNAP tag, but those that do get bumped up to Representatives or even Lieutenants pretty quick. From there, members who keep the SNAP tag active 100% of the time, are active in forums and social media get promoted to Commissioner. . It’s not easy to get promoted all the way up to Commissioner but also not impossible.
